See, my problem is, I don't actually give a shit about Steve Jobs' death. I mean, it must be sad for his friends and family and I'm certainly not glad of his death, but I just -- it affects my life in no way whatsoever, so beyond a moment of sympathy for the people whose lives are affected by his loss, I got nothing. I haven't really much to say be it good, bad, or indifferent. Though I admit my teeth are gritting a little harder every time I hear another vote for Saint Steve of the Ooh Shiny.
And, yeah, I'm a little bit aggravated that the news about Shuttlesworth is getting buried in the noise. He had a profound effect on the world we live in and frankly I have more invested in the work he did than I do in the work Jobs did.
This is why I've buggered off Twitter, though, and I'm probably going to need to stay off Tumblr as well. I haven't anything much good to say to the people mourning Jobs' so extravagantly, and since I've actually nothing against the man himself and there's very little good to be accomplished in saying anything not good, I'm just removing myself from the forums that are frustrating me so much.
