I had an appointment with a physiotherapist yesterday, related to ME/CFS symptoms. She had a good look at me: the way I stand, and type, grip things, and exciting stuff like that, and eventually declared that I have bad posture, stiff wrists and hypermobile knees.

Somehow, despite knowing exactly what hypermobility means, I had to giggle at the mental image my brain generated for me, in which I was chasing my kneecaps around the house.

I've always thought that "hypermobility" sounds like it should be some kind of superpower. I mean: if *impaired* mobility means that you're unable to get around or in a wheelchair or something, then *hyper*-mobility must mean that you're MORE able to get around than the norm. For example, that you can fly or walk on water or through walls or something.
